The Mysterious Ms.Peggy

              An Essay on my Neighbor
        Strange, it is an interesting word. It could be a good thing, could be a bad thing. Strange could mean a taste. It could be something odd you see. If  you use strange to describe someone, it usually means something that that person does that isn't your 'normal'. However, it doesn't always mean they are creepy. strange can also mean they are interesting. The person who I think fits Interesting is Ms. Peggy. 

    My neighbor Ms. Peggy is a very interesting person. She may seem odd, until you meet her. So let me tell a little bit about her so you can recognize her. Ms. Peggy is a small woman that is about 50 years old. She also has a lot of blond hair in a somewhat messy piled form. I've known Ms. Peggy for a long time and I usually see her walking. Besides for exercise she walks to get her mail and other things around town instead of driving. When she's not walking or driving somewhere out of walking distance, she is probably in her garage on a lawn chair reading a newspaper. When she is outside, she sees many kinds of animals.I say this because she has so many animal stories to tell when i come over with my sister. like deer or turkeys or even woodpeckers on her roof. Speaking of going over to her house, Ms. Peggy rarely gets visits from anyone. I don't think she has any family besides her two neighbors. Even so, ms. Peggy is a very happy and healthy person. She also enjoys going to the local vegetable stand and buying corn to roast. She even eats THAT outside.To conclude, i believe ms. Peggy is 'strange'
 but in a good way. I hope you get to meet someone like her some day...

   There are many odd people in the world, you may know some. This word can mean many things. It can say you dislike someone, or  are facinated by their distinct characteristics. What I wrote about is someone in my life who is diffrent than the others in a special sort of way. 'Stange', it IS an interesting word...
    

The sun and moon

The sun sheds its warmth  on us
 strong and bright
don't stay out too long
he also gives us light
so we can read and play outside
and he smiles upon us too
like a proud father smiling at his son
but when he sets
who will gives us light?
the stars are too far away
and our own light is small
so here comes the moon
the great silver ball
she projects gentle light
but not the same warmth
and sets us off to bed
and we say
Goodnight.

     My Feelings On Summer

                                 An Essay on my favorite Season

My feelings on summer ending could be best described by the song "So long Sweet Summer".
   The Phrase, 'I stumbled upon you and basked in your rays' could relate to how I enjoyed being outside under the sun. During the summer I went all over the US and an island called Bimini. Most of the places were, in fact, really sunny. "I fell into you but now you are falling away'. This relates to how I got so comfortable, then suddenly school came out of the blue. When school came around, the line 'so long sweet slumber' relates to how I got less sleep in school than in summer. 'it's cold were your going, I hope that your hearts always warm' means how winter comes after fall. It also explains that summer will always welcome me next year. 
   I will really miss summer, and I can't wait for it next year. Even though I'll miss it, I'll do my best in school. :]


Self Assessment:  one problem i have is making words go together that sound ok but are not written that way. One strong point in my essay was that i related to the song a lot and those made good sense. on my down side ( :[ ) i think i need to work on my essays length so it is 11 sentences long.

Penguins

                 penguins
penguins are very interesting creatures.
they have there beak held up as if they have authority
and full of dignity.
but these penguins also love to chill out
just being cool
like the ice they live on :).
penguins and people are very similar
they both love to explore
and eat
preen
eat
and sing
maybe eat some more.
aren't penguins cool?

its called the ICU-2.0.
it looks pretty cool
the other kids drool
when they see his robot
it can play hide and go seek
find lost teddy bears
and cook grilled cheese sandwiches.
it used to work hard
but now its distracted
by betty's new 'bot
it's called 'ms.ICU'.
